This video features my last kayak trip of 2014. I had an amazing day of fishing in late December. Some of the highlights from this video include: my only double of the year and my largest Rainbow of the year (which was also my last, hell of a way to end it!). I hope you enjoy the video and I know I'm extremely anxious to get out fishing after watching it! You can read a write up of the trip featured in the video by following this link:

Indianapolis Boat Sport and Travel Show
The friendly folks at Wildcat Creek Outfitters will be at the Indianapolis Boat Sport and Travel Show from now until Sunday March 1st. They have a ton of nice clothing, a HUGE selection of fishing kayaks, rigging accessories for kayaks, and rods and reels. All the kayaks are available to test paddle in a pool adjacent to the WCO booth. Come out and see everything they have to offer, test paddle a kayak, and of course talk about kayak fishing. I will be down there this coming Saturday February 1st. I will be wroking the WCO booth on Saturday the 28th. Stop by and say hello if you are in the area.

2/8/15 Small Stream Trout
I got out over the weekend to do some small stream trout fishing. On warm winter days, the fish are extremely active and willing to hit lures. I was throwing small spinners with the barbs pinched off the trebles. I lost several fish due to the barbless hooks but I'd rather lose a few fish than tear up fish that I do manage to bring to hand. The river is small and it's extremely tight for casting. I actually probably do much more underhanded pitching than any real casting in this kind of situation. There was quite a bit of shelf ice and I ended up on my butt several times throughout the course of the day. Also, there were some spots where ice was completely covering small side channels of the river. It was really deceptive and if I hadn't been there quite a few times before I could have walked out on that ice without knowing it. All in all it was a great day of fishing! I landed two really nice Browns, a decent Rainbow, and a few small Browns.

Video - Best of Fall Walleyes 2014
I've put together a video of some of my best footage from last years fall Walleye fishing. They typically just bulldog when hooked so it's hard to get good footage in stained water. Hope you guys enjoy it!
